The generator still won’t stay running, so that will take some more troubleshooting. Other than that, things seem to work well.
When hooked up to standard A/C power, the roof-mounted air conditioning, and everything else gets power. The air conditioner works really well.
Water works both when connected directly to pressurized water (the hose,) and when using the pump with water in the tank. The gray water tank has a leak–will have to deal that up. I don’t see myself using water much, as I’ll probably just bring drinking water with me.
Hooked a TV up to power and the external antenna and it worked really well. Just need to get the TV mounted somehow. That may take some creativity. Or a smaller TV. I may just use the iPad if I really need to watch something, and save the counter space for cooking.
Smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and fire extinguisher are all installed.
Propane tank was still ¾ full, so I tested the stove burners and the heater. Both worked well. I’m a little concerned about draining the battery with the fans, since the generator isn’t working. Not a big deal in the summer, since I can cook outside. Will need to get the generator running before winter, though.
So far, I’m pretty happy with the van. There are a few things I want to work on, but it’s camp-ready. I’m hoping to head out somewhere tomorrow evening to really test it.
